Shopping Thrifty....Literally! :)

It's been months since I've had the chance to drop by a thrift store, but yesterday the opportunity presented itself. I didn't get a ton of stuff, but what I did get I was excited about.

Here's what I got:
2 Brand New in the wrappers Fredrix Artist Canvas for $1.99 each!

Anyone else been thrifting lately??

Shopping Thrifty!

I went to one thrift store earlier this week. Then I got off early to celebrate a big work accomplishment today, so what do you think me and a gal pal went to do? Thrift, of course! Together we went to 2 new thrift stores...she struck gold and fold 2 fabulous formals for a FRACTION of their original price. I didn't get as lucky at those. After we parted ways, I stopped by 2 more thrifts on my way home. Here's my weeks worth of thrift goods.

First, I snagged this awesome wall clock and Pottery Barn Gallery Frame earlier in the week. I think both will look fabulous in my slow-to-get-decorated extra bedroom.

Today, I snagged these brand new work sandals. They have NO marks on the soles one bit, so I know they've at least never been worn off carpet. Then I also got the $2 roll of wallpaper to line some of my unlined cabinets as I'm reorganizing the kitchen. This seemed like a cheaper, easier option than using Contact paper.
Thats it for my thrifting week...I am gonna try to keep myself out of them for the weekend.
Happy Thrifting!

Shopping Thrifty!

I stopped by Goodwill and Salvation Army, again! Ok I admit it, I actually went twice in the last few days. I'm seriously addicted! Here's my fabulous finds.

And here's some closeups of a couple of the items...

How fabulous were these frames for only 99 cents!!?? Don't worry, they won't be that weird color greenish, grey for long. Next time you see them I'm sure they'll be white or black or brown or some other fabulous color.... :)

And what about these 4 matching wall frames? How cute are those? Ok, so the colors and cheesy pics in them aren't great, but I have awesome plans for those too. Soon those too will be transformed into something fabulous! (Actually, I've already removed the pics and glass from these frames, so they're well on their way to awesomeness).

And then last but not definitely not least in my my book are these cute bright, fun measuring spoons? I needed another set of measuring spoons (and measuring cups...i will look for those next). These brand-new Kitchenaid ones for $2 fit the bill perfectly! How fun are those? I actually have the matching set in black already, but I love love love these fun yellow ones.

Happy thrifting everyone! I hope to get by there again myself soon. :)

Shopping Thrifty!

I had so much fun thrifting last week that I decided to drop by again. Here's what I found:

An Organizer Rack for $1.99. I'm reorganizing my kitchen...so I am collecting all the organizers I can find.
A BRAND NEW Wilton Cookie Treat Pan for $3.99...still in the packaging...so a little more than half off the sticker price of $8.99 that was still on the wrapper.

Shopping Thrifty . . . Literally! :)

Yesterday, we decided to hit up a couple fairly large thrift stores. First, we stopped by the Goodwill Store. It's been around for quite awhile and gets tons of traffic. Secondly, we stopped by the brand new Salvation Army Store. It's so big and nice. Its very impressive for a thrift store, but its a bit more expensive than Goodwill (although they run sales on random days). It's still been a good bit since the last time I'd stopped at a thrift store, because they're just not on my way anywhere really. When we first walked in, I remembered how much a I LOVED thrifting. How awesome is it to walk into a store and every single day it's filled with something different!? I love Target...it's my favorite store, but it's well...predictable. Know what I mean? You go in a Monday for Milk and go back in a Friday for a dress, and the same stuff that was there on Monday is still there on Friday. Thrift stores are SOOO different. They get "new" stuff daily. I have no problem buying used clothes, furniture, housewares, etc, so thrifting is great with me. Check out my finds!
The large decorative filled bottle was only $7.99!! It still had the $40 Steinmart tag on the bottom! The small decorative filled bottle was $2.99, and still had the $20 Steinmart tag on the bottom! The wire shelf was $2.99. I had actually planned on buying one of these at Target yesterday, (for a kitchen reorganization that one day I will reveal)  but instead snagged it for probably a third of the price. All it needed was a bath. The wide mouth Mason Jar was $2.99. I really wanna find more of these to store my sugar and stuff in. The black floor length skirt is the only thing I got at the Salvation Army store. It's originally from the GAP. It was tagged at $4.99, but they were running half off yellow tags and it was yellow tagged. So a great score at $2.50!
Above is another closeup of the awesome bottles. I'd seriously been wanting some of these, but they are just too rich for my blood from "real" stores. I'd seen these at Amazon.
Super reasonably priced at only $14.99 for all 3, but when I saw that big massive one at Goodwill I couldn't pass it up. I will definitely be doing more thrifting in the future. Anyone else gotten anything great at thrifts lately?
