Learn How to Shop at RiteAid

I've posted quite a few times on RiteAid without ever explaining how to shop there, so I am gonna take a stab at it now. Let me know if you have any questions.

#1- Rite Aid Wellness Account
A wellness card is key to saving at RiteAid and works just like your Kroger or grocery savings card. You MUST have a wellness card to get sale prices, get UP+ rewards, and other benefits. A wellness card is FREE. Sign up HERE online or in store.

Also when you shop with the card, you earn one point for every dollar you spend on nonprescription purchases and 25 points for every prescription. These points earn you greater RiteAid benefits: for every 125 points a one-time, 10% off shopping pass, @ 500 points  you get 10% off all non-prescription purchases every day, and @ 1,000 points you get 20% off all non-prescription points purchases every day.

#2- Coupons
To read or print RiteAid's official coupon policy click HERE.

Using Multiple Coupons:  "More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions: o All coupons match the item being purchased. o The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax. o No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5” Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item."

Using BOGO coupons: "We accept two coupons for the purchase of two items that are on Buy One, Get One Free Promotion. We accept a Buy One, Get One Free Coupon with an item that is in our flyer as Buy One, Get One Free, meaning both items are free. The cash register will compute any sales tax due, which varies by state law."

Video Values Coupons: Sign up HERE for RiteAid Video Values. You get RiteAid VV Coupons for watching advertisements. Also sometimes you will get a $X/$XX total purchase coupon for watching them.

#3- +UP Rewards

The weekly circular lists the weeks +UP offers. Sometimes they make an item free  and sometimes they just discount the item when taking the +UP into consideration. But since you CAN use mfr. coupons, RiteAid Video Values coupons and RiteAid  Mfr. coupons against the items, they usually make for great deals. +UP rewards print out at the bottom of your receipt at checkout. They do have expiration dates but usually are 2 weeks out or more.  Unless otherwise noted in the circular, +UP offers are usually unlimited, which means they tend to sale out at the stores before the week ends. Unlike Walgreens Register Rewards, +UPs can be used to roll into another transaction containing the same item the +UP was given for. Also unlike Walgreens, there is no limit to the number of +UPs you can use to pay for a transaction. If you don't get your +UP doesn't print and you know you're due one, contact corporate for a replacement.

#4 Single Check Rebates (SCRs)
SCRs are offered on a monthly basis though some have to be purchased within a certain week of the month  and other have to be purchased at an point during the month.  You can view the current SCRs available HERE or pick up a booklet in the front of the store.

To claim an SCR sign up HERE .After signing up, you will be prompted to enter information from the receipt received from the SCR qualifying purchase. Make sure not to submit to receive your payment check until you've entered all your receipts for the month. I think SCRs are a great, easy way to turn your +UPs back to cash.

And thats how to shop at RiteAid...I personally love RA and believe it to be one of the most coupon friendly stores I've ever dealt with. And if the cashiers, managers, and stores dont make it right for you, corporate will correct it. I *heart* RiteAid. Must easier to shop at than Walgreens.

First, you MUST have a RiteAid Wellness Card before you can do any deals at RiteAid (Kinda like the Kroger card for Kroger). The RiteAid Wellness Card is FREE and you CAN SIGN UP IN STORE. After signing up in store and you buy items that qualify for the Single Check Rebate (SCR), you go to RiteAid.com. On RiteAid.com, you sign into their SCR program and enter your receipt information.
